Financial Aid

St. John Vianney Catholic School is committed to providing access to a superior education for all applicants, regardless of their financial situation. However, due to limits placed on our financial aid budget, financial aid is not guaranteed and each family is expected to use all resources available to them in paying for a SJVCS education. Please don't hesitate to contact the School Office with any further questions. 727-360-1113.

Tuition Assitance Options 

OPTION 1: Diocesan Assistance – Catholic School Tuition Aid Grant The Catholic School Tuition Aid Grant aka CSTAG award is the only grant given by the Diocese to aid families with school tuition costs. CSTAG is available to all students K-12 who are registered at, or have submitted an enrollment application to an (inter)parish or diocesan Catholic elementary or high school in the Diocese of St. Petersburg.  Families must have FACTS Calculated Need to be eligible for tuition assistance.

Parents are required to fill out a FACTS Grant and Aid application for the each new school year. All applications must be submitted no later than March 31, 2017 and ALL documents uploaded to FACTS no later than April 16, 2017. An application is considered complete when FACTS Grant and Aid has received the application and all supporting documentation required for evaluation. Please Note: Generally, the documents needed for uploading is your 2016 W-2 and your 2015 Tax return. If you are self-employed other documents may be required from FACTS.


OPTION 2: Mary C. Forbes Foundation – Catholic School Tuition Aid Grant Eligibility is determined through the foundation from a need-based application process and this assistance is only available to affiliated students. Mary C. Forbes financial forms and important deadlines are available through the Business Office at your school.  The deadline for submission is April 14th.  Grants made from the Mary C. Forbes Foundation are made for Catholic students in the Diocese of St. Petersburg. Limited applications available to qualified applicants. Written requests must be submitted to your school office.



OPTION 3:Step Up For Students (Florida Tax Credit Scholarship)


St. John Vianney Catholic School is now accepting Step Up For Students. For the 2016-17 school year, scholarships were valued up to $5,886. for private school tuition. Step up for Students is an Income based Scholarship available for children entering Kindergarten to 8th grade if eligible.The Step Up For Students website provides full details as well as the application.
