FUNDRAISING
St. John Vianney School hosts a variety of fundraising activities that directly and fully benefit the school. The funds from these activities go to the promotion of student learning, classroom materials, and enrichment programs. Please contact us for information on sponsorship or participation in these events. We are grateful to all who give of their time, talents or treasure.

Mardi Gras 2009
The “Fat” Tuesday celebration was enjoyed by everyone
on February 24 in the Msgr. Trainor Parish Hall.
The decorations were amazing, and the food and
music was festive. If you missed it this year, don’t

ANNUAL FUNDRAISING EVENTS
The Gold’s
During the year two Gold events are held. These are the Harvest Gold/Oktoberfest and the Spring Gold. The Gold’s offer a limited number for tickets for a $100 dollar donation. Prizes are drawn both prior to the main drawing and on the night of the Gold party. The grand prize offering is $10,000.
The Auction
The school hosts an auction with both Silent and Live portions. The evening includes a sit down dinner and opportunities to win items collected from locate vendors and retailers, as well as original artwork and crafts created by our students and parents.

ONGOING FUNDRAISING EVENTS
SCRIP
Scrip is a very easy way to support the school. All you do is purchase your gift cards (certificates) from the school prior to doing do your regular shopping. In using Scrip, you pay the same amount as you would normally for your purchases and at the same time the school benefits by getting a percentage of the total gift cards (certificate) purchased through Scrip at the school. A complete list of vendors can be found at the Great Lakes Scrip website .
Boxtops for Education
General Mills sponsors the Box Tops for Education program. A variety of General Mills products have a Box Top for Education label on the box, that you can cut out and send into school or drop off in the collection basket at the back of the church. Additionally, internet purchases made to over 200 online stores equate to box top points for our school. Online stores include Office Depot, JC Penney and L.L. Bean. To shop, simply go to the Box Tops for Educations website at www.boxtops4education.com, register as a “Booster” for St. John Vianney School, and use the provided links for your purchases.
Each month, the box tops turned in are tallied by grade. At the end of the year, the class with the most box tops gets a pizza party.
Campbell Soup Labels
Labels for Education is sponsored by Campbell Soups. Simply collect Campbell soup labels from the products, and then send them into school or drop them off in the collection basket at the back of church. Each label will then provide points to our school which can then be used to purchase equipment for our Athletic Program. Office Depot
Office Depot sponsors a program that gives 5% of certain purchases back to schools. Participation is easy. Every time you make a purchase at Office Depot, tell the cashier to credit the purchase to St. John Vianney School. Valid purchases are then attributed to our school and result in a check for the funds raised.
Recycling
The school raises funds through the recycling of used cell phones and printer cartridges. These items can be dropped off to the School Business Office. If you own a business or work at a corporate office, a collection box can be used and the recycling company will come to you to collect the recycled items.
